I was struck by the difference in appearance of these three boys, all about the same age, one from the Newburyport, MA (Suburbs?), one from the Brooklyn, NY (Inner City) and one from Moretown, VT (Country). Made me wonder how much "place" has to do with "looks"?

Anguillian Beach Gangsters

Photographed these fellas on a trip to the island of Anguilla awhile back. I was struck by the contrast of their clothing and "inner city" style of dress against tropical Anguillian color palate. We humans seem to always aspire to "where we're not".

Seth Godin
